Where this came from
Every venue and table here was checked against its own site or a dated 2026 source in August 2026. Nothing is invented. Places confirmed closed this year were deliberately left out even though many still appear on published date-night lists.
Not live — true as of a date
This page carries a snapshot, not a feed. Hours, seasons and programmes were read on the build date shown below and baked in. Outdoor listings in particular are weather- and season-dependent, and a park that closes at ten in August closes earlier in January. Nothing here says what is on tonight. Follow the links before you go.
What the prices mean
Free means someone read it off the venue itself. Usually free means the room has no ticket as far as we can tell, but nobody has confirmed there is no cover or drink minimum — the one failure that actually embarrasses you at a door. Treat the second as a check-before-you-go.
Restaurant figures are dinner for two, food only, no alcohol, before tax and tip. Ticket figures are per person. A card marked est. contains at least one number inferred from price tier rather than read off a published price — most venues route ticket prices through Ticketmaster or Dice per show, so face value isn't posted.
Why eighteen
The grid opens with eighteen nights because a wall of two hundred is not a recommendation, it is a phone book. They are one per venue, ranked by how well they match what you asked for, so you see the range of the city rather than the same room eight ways. Show all under the last card opens the rest — every other pairing of the same rooms, and the venues that did not make the first cut. Nothing is hidden from you; it is just not the first thing you see.
Walk or ride
Walkable means the two places are close enough to walk between. Where we have a confirmed street location for both — confirmed meaning two independent map services agreed on it — that is a measured distance and the card shows the minutes. Where we do not, it is a neighbourhood-level judgement and the card says walkable or quick ride without a number, because a number we cannot stand behind is worse than no number. In Los Angeles the neighbourhood judgements also account for which pairs are survivable in evening traffic. A few neighbourhoods — Arlington, Downtown LA, Little Havana — are simply too large to call walkable on the name alone, so without a measurement we call those a ride even when both places sit in the same one. Metro appears only when both places are a short walk from an open station; a longer walk is written out in minutes instead. Always check the map before you book.
How honest this is
Roughly a third of the ticket prices and half the restaurant prices are estimates, marked as such. A verification pass on the Washington data found five wrong prices out of the ten it checked, so treat every number as a starting point, not a quote. Confirm before you book.
